We begin our journal…

March 21st, 2006

Esoteric: designed for & understood by the specially initiated alone; belonging to a circle initiated in such teachings.

Greetings SpiritFriend:

Welcome to our Esoteric Journal. If you are familiar with the written expression of my spiritual work, you are aware that I advocate Esoteric Journaling. If you are not yet initiated, I invite you into the circle, provided you enter with pure intention and a thirst for Truth. We do not discriminate here - all persons of all ages, creed or color are invited to participate in circle - because as part of Original Source - we are All One.

Before proceeding: Be aware that I find no desire or necessity to travel the dark side. Those who are not seekers of the Light will be better served by another teacher.

Let’s Establish Purpose & Parameters:

If I were a writer of the cookbooks, for example, would I not taste-test recipes before putting them in a book? Yes! Therefore, be assured that I test all of my teachings before committing them to the page. So that in “The Book” and “Begin to Remember”, when Esoteric journals were part of “the work”, I assigned myself the same topics.

Now, I am curious to know what happens when the books are finished? From where does your inspiration come? An answer is simple.

What if we continue the imaginary circle we created in “The Book”? I propose to assign topics in one post, which I will work along with you, and in the following post, I’ll share what I have written in my own Esoteric Journal.

Does this spark your interest?

Let’s Begin:

For those who are not “veterans” of Esoteric journalling, this form of writing differs from personal journals. I suggest you contemplate about the current topic and then have a little tete-a-tete with Spirit. When you are ready, write out your insights and understandings in your Esoteric Journal before proceeding to my post on the subject.

Tip: Please do not attempt to analyze or compare my writings with yours. There is no right or wrong “answer”. We all have unique insights, and I am open to receive your general questions, comments and suggestions. We learn, we teach and we learn from those we teach. I expect to learn from you and, in turn, I hope you will find our circle rewarding. Please know you are safe here.

In attempt to keep our enviornment user-friendly, here are certain parameters: I am not licensed to practice medicine, so that I cannot answer medical related questions; I am not inclined to dabble in specific matters of the heart and I am not available for a romantic connection.

As a certified Master of Life Guidance Counselor, I am committed to helping all who genuinely seek Spiritual guidance find their path with heart.

I trust you will receive many Truths as a result of our Esoteric Journalling. Our first assignment is: Giving & Receiving.

And so it is,

Bonnie

Update from Bonnie

September 25th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

I fear I’ve been remiss. It seems that September has sprouted wings and flown away without my having posted any assignments or vignettes for you. Please accept my apologies.

For the past several weeks, I’ve worked on “content articles” for Associated Content. Here are several links to what I’ve written:

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2144577/stimuli_
and_fibromyalgia_pain_in_the.html

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2144463/grappling_
with_fibromyalgia_brain_fog.html

www.associatedcontent.com/article/2144379/chronic_pain_
of_fibromyalgia_resulting.html

Or, you can just Google me, Bonnie Doss-Knight. The first link will bring you back here. Which is really a good place to be. The next link will take you to my articles and profile on Associated Content.

All my abused SpiritFriends, will be interested in how Fibromyalgia links back to an abused childhood. But, not to worry, there’s something for all of you. For example, if you’re planning on starting your own homebased business, read my article about Gift Baskets. If you want to begin a new way of eating for health reasons, read about Pita Pockets. Do you have an elderly loved one? You will definitely want to read my article “Dehydration is Deadly for Elders”. Has your Dr. ever told you - “You just need to relax.” Then, look at “Rapid Relaxation Relieves Fibromyalgia Fatigue”, which is more up Esoteric Students ally.

And, I pinky promise, you’ll be seeing more of me now that I’ve written my first 10 articles for A.C.
Already, several seeds for powerful assignments are stored in my subconscious!

In the meantime. stay with your practice and be good to you. Let your be-dazzling light shine on someone in need.

and so it is,
Bonnie

Revitalization of Vows

August 29th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

I hope by this point in our esoteric journey you have attracted a beloved companion to walk beside you. That one special life partner with whom you exchanged vows…to love…to cherish…to honor.

Even in the most solid relationship, taking a few moments to pause and revitalize your commitment is a good thing. It serves as a reminder when love was brand-new and untarnished by finances, problems and daily stress.

If you are still calling-out to your lover, you may wish to print this assignment and file it away or copy in your Esoteric Journal.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Please begin by clasping hands and looking into each other’s eyes. If it feels right, come prepared to exchange tokens of your love with each other. Whatever vow you decide to share, speak it from your soul. When it is your turn to receive, listen with love to the beautiful sentiments of your beloved.

Here are a few sample declarations, but please feel free to say what is in your heart.

“I liked you before I loved you. Now that I love you, I still like you.”
“Whatever happens in this lifetime, I will walk by your side and support you when you fall.”
“My love for you is without condition or reservation.”
“My beloved, I wish you all the good things life can offer.”
“With you, I have become a better person.”

And, for the final thought: “I appreciate the opportunity to revitalize our vows. I love and accept you, exactly as you are. Every day and in every way my love for you grows stronger. I love you, I cherish you, I honor you.”

Then the giver becomes the receiver and listens with his/her heart.

In conclusion, embrace your beloved and say together:

“And so it is.”

and so it is,
Bonnie

Giving Cherished Things to Others

August 17th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

Esoteric students are taught to focus on the abstract, rather than the material. To live within bounds of Spiritual Laws, to love our neighbor and ourselves and to practice objective goodness. However, we live in duality as one part human and one part pure consciousness. And, the human aspect of us often collects certain cherished things.

For example, I love books, scented candles and white milkglass. One fine day, I asked of myself, “Bonnie, seriously do you really need 37 vanilla candles?” So, I thought to practice a little objective goodness and give away most of them for non-occasions, to my dear friends. “Thank you for being in my life.” “What a wonderful lunch we enjoyed.” “Thought you might need perking up.” And, so on.

This thought, followed by action, with no expectation, brings up our next assignment. But - first - know this, I am not admonishing you to give away your Cherished Things. It’s simply something to ponder.

THE ASSIGNMENT

In your Esoteric Journal, list the objects that you cherish with passion.
Pick one of them up, hold it a few minutes, look at it. Put it down.

Now - ponder the following question and/or journal about it.
Could you give someone great pleasure by giving it away? How would you feel about no longer “owning” it? Do you still experience the same pleasure as you did when haunting antique shops or flea markets to find it?
Keep in mind that sometimes our collections grow and grow, until things own us instead of vice versa.

Simply think about it. You don’t have to do anything.

If you decide to follow my lead, you will create a vacuum by giving “stuff” away that the universe must fill with something better.

and so it is,
Bonnie

Where Did the Prayers Go?

July 28th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

I remember a time when families attended God’s House on Sunday and in mid-week; when they said a prayer of thanks before meals, before sleep and read together from holy books instead of surfing the net. So, today, this question led me to pondering about where the prayers went. And how could we get them back?

Awesome respect goes out to our Native American SpiritFriends who have kept their honored customs and prayer rituals even during these trying spiritual and economic times. Their Medicine Wheel serves to honor all life. They perform ceremonies for bountiful crops in the fields. Prayer feathers hang in their homes, their vehicles. They maintain sacred areas devoted to prayers and offerings to our Earth Mother. Before meals, Native Americans gather in circle and make a prayer of thanks to Earth Mother and Great Spirit. Sacred pipe ceremonies bring all the people together in prayer. To these loving SpiritFriends all life is sacred.

If you want to “walk in balance” in the manner of our Native American Spiritfriends, gather pen and Esoteric Journal and commit the assignment on the page. Whatever is written, is.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Could you? Would you?

Thank Great Spirit for your aliveness each morning when you wake-up?

Take a few moments in the midst of your busy-ness to center yourself and align with Spirit?

Enjoy a nature walk and appreciate Creator for the beauty and wonder of all creation? Walk a different path, if it feels good and right, walk some more.

Each full moon, send a healing prayer out to the universe, for all the confused, lonely and sick people.

Meditate while you dust your cherished things; hum or chant as you vacuum.

Listen to a spiritual tape every night before retiring.

Select any of the above that is comfortable for you and please share your comments with all our SpiritFriends.

I appreciate you!

and so it is,
Bonnie

Something Spiritual May Yet Come…

July 22nd, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

This is an assignment of a different kind. While I encourage you to write in your Esoteric Journal before responding, I’ve included general questions so that SpiritFriends who do not choose to journal may also comment.

SETTING THE SCENE

My husband quips that he has the spirituality of a gnat. I disagree. He doesn’t listen. Men! Women, does this sound familiar to you?

My advice to him and to all of you who are shaking your heads in agreement with my husband - get out of Spirit’s way, shut your intellect up and LISTEN.

We are all creative in one manner or another. All creativity and creating comes from the Great Creator. Now, Great Creator doesn’t discriminate and speak only to chosen ones. But, in order to remain true to our spiritual calling, we must get out of our rational mind and into our higher consciousness. We don’t have to DO anything, except be there.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Following are questions that pertain to all people about spirituality. You are invited to comment with your unique answer.

Where do you connect with Spirit?
How do you “see” Spirit?
How do you perceive your current spiritual condition?
Describe a time you experienced conscious contact with Creator.
Do you feel the presence of Beloved as your companion - often, sometimes or never?

Now for the Esoteric Journal students:

In your Esoteric Journal write a letter to Spirit describing your last sunset.

Invite Spirit to re-enter your soul!

and so it is,
Bonnie

Get Inspired

July 7th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

Once I complained to my mentor I’d walked about 10,000 mental miles and consciousness kept moving further from my sight. The issue - conscious creation.

When this thought came to me today, it seemed prudent to review HOW we create something from nothing, using positive intent. I’ve written about attraction and intent on several occasions, just look back at previous posts for details. Consider this your 10,000 mile check-up!

Know precisely what you want. What makes your heart go pitter-patter?
Set your intention.
Charge it with positive energy.
Raise your spiritual vibration. The higher the vibration, the more powerful your intention.
Prepare yourself mentally for good things to come your way.
Don’t dabble. Wishy-washy intentions confuse the universe.
Visualize & create.
It may be helpful to find a tangible object, which represents the object of your desire. A replica, a picture, etc.
Believe you deserve what you REALLY want.

Don’t skip the final step:

Express gratitude. This is like thanking the universe for results before the prayer is prayed.

Remember to give back. You reap what you sow for others. Help somebody else raise their consciousness level and you will boost your own.

and so it is,
Bonnie

What Color are You?

June 18th, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

I’m being very orange today! To work, I wore orange pedal pushers (does anyone know why we call them that?) & a bright orange, soft cotton top, with huge navy blue flowers. Orange stimulates activity & I knew I had to be quite active at work.

Once in a great while, writers write something that causes them to stand back & say with objectivity, “Did I write that?”

I shall continue to feel this way about my favorite chapter in “Beyond Blue” - “What Color am I?” By employing chromotherapy (healing with color), we learned to identify our perpetrators & diffuse their power.

Because I wrote “Beyond Blue” to my dear children, children of all ages, creeds & colors, I necessarily had to stay on task and relate color to past abuse. But there are a plethora of ways to incorporate color healing into our everyday lives.

Like our favorite foods, color can offer “comfort & joy”. For example, when you are blue, wear blue or cuddle up in a blue comforter. Blue acts like the mesmerizing ripples in a lake to calm those blue emotions.

Need a job? Need to make a great impression at a business meeting? Put on that red power suit & you’ll be the picture of confidence.

So - you get the job - or the new love interest. A new beginning calls for white. Like the writer’s blank page, pristine white offers a do-over. A clear fresh start.

When your spirits need perking -up, wear sunshine colors. Yellows & golds let the light into our souls.

Back to the boyfriend & job. When either require a spark of creative energy, wear orange. Be orange. Orange will jump-start your creative juices & sensuality.

As a non-conformist, my favorite color is purple. Whenever you want to stand out in the crowd, instead of blending in, wear purple. Purple is the color of royalty of royalty & riches! It is also of a high spiritual nature.

When you wish to practice attracting abundance, drape a purple scarf around your shoulder & the message you send out to the universe will manifest in your everyday reality.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Take a look around your home and “see” what colors you live with. Day in & day out. Let color magic speak to you. Are your colors drab & boring? Take your time & one room at a time, add colorful accents. Think the 3 P’s - paintings, plants & pillows.

What color(s) do you wear more than others? What can you do to add more happy colors? How about adding colorful jewelry or scarves? As your finances permit, you can begin to purchase more colorful clothing.

Think in color. Journal about it in your Esoteric Journal. Be color. What color are you?

If you have questions about a particular color, leave a comment & I’ll be intuitive yellow & answer you.

and so it is,
Bonnie

Tear Catchers

June 1st, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

Do you get unbelievably excited to discover something which is new to you, but originated in antiquity?

I know I do!

Having studied the ancients for 11 years now, until today I didn’t know that actual bottles existed for tears.

During Roman times, glass bottles of tears were put in burial tombs to show respect. Furthermore, professional mourners were actually paid to cry in the vessels.

In the Victorian period, the bottles were made with special stoppers that permitted the tears to evaporate. When there were no more tears, the mourning time was over.

Today, tear catchers are gifted to symbolize EMOTIONS. Respect - Love - Joy - Compassion - Condolence, and so on.

I also know that as an abused child, if I’d been a professional mourner, I’d be rich with money today.

and so it is,
Bonnie

Sparkling

May 22nd, 2009

Greetings SpiritFriend:

Creator made us perfect. We knew that when we came into this world. Think back to your childhood. Do you remember how creative and confident you were? For instance, let’s suppose you wanted to make a sand castle. You thought about it - it needs a million billion rooms, you decide. When you’ve finished, you stand back and admire your work. The end result may be a lopsided, one-roomed thingey that looks more like a shotgun shack than a castle. But you were totally satisfied because you made it.

That is how Creator views each of us. Perfect the way (S)He made us.

Somewhere along the way, our creativity and self confidence generally gets conditioned right out of us. Even if we’re not abused, we are brainwashed into believing that from this day on, we must strive for perfection in all areas of our life.

So our to-do lists consume several pages, we work on a memo until the grass grows 3 inches, we color our hair, our nails, we try to keep up with the Joneses. In short, we try to do it all - perfectly.

We have set unrealistic expectations for ourselves and invite stressful situations to happen. We blame ourselves when we don’t measure up.

Human perfectionism is not a positive attribute. We are already perfect spiritual beings.

Starting today, try to be easier on yourself. If you don’t have a small child, check one out for the day from a friend. Have fun. Play. Let the child lead you. Give yourself permission to remember the innocence and creativity you have forgotten.

You are a shining star. Keep sparkling.

and so it is,
Bonnie
